Desjardins and Maitre’D launch a new wireless payment solution

Desjardins Group (www.desjardins.com) recently announced that they will be releasing a new wireless payment solution at the end of April 2012 with Maitre’D.

Available since 2010, Desjardins' Flex line of payment solutions, allows restaurants and retailers to combine their electronic cash registers with their payment terminals. The line's range of terminals for at-the-counter and wireless payment, at the table or on deliveries, benefits both merchants and their customers.

Posera has teamed up with Desjardins to offer restaurateurs a complete solution that integrates all methods of electronic payment into its Maitre'D POS and management software. "By working with Desjardins, Posera is innovating and reinforcing its position as a leader in technology for the restaurant industry. These new solutions can meet different payment requirements within one establishment by accepting payments at the counter and at the table," added Michel Côté, President of Posera.

La Cage aux Sports will be the first restaurant to use wireless terminals with Desjardins's Flex solutions and the Maitre'D software. "The Cage aux Sports chain of restaurants has always used cutting-edge technologies. We are constantly looking to innovate to offer our customers the best experience possible. It is therefore natural for us to implement these new payment solutions in our restaurants," stated Jean Bédard, President of La Cage aux Sports Restaurants.

With the Flex payment solutions, no personal information from credit or debit cards is transferred to the restaurant's system. This distinct advantage considerably reduces restaurateurs' costs and efforts in gaining PCI-DSS Standard accreditation.
